The ImmunoT cluster is looking to hire a part-time EDI consultant to further develop our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion plan for the newly formed Immunotherapy Research Excellence Cluster, based at the University of British Columbia. We are seeking an individual with prior experience in EDI, knowledge transfer to diverse audiences, leading EDI initiatives, promoting best practices and, ideally, expertise in the fields of Immunology and Immunotherapy. We are seeking an engaged and lively individual who can lead, delegate, bring people together, as well as provide a plan going forward to create an inclusive community in Immunotherapeutics, with stakeholders, advocates, patients, researchers, clinicians.
Qualifications:
• MSc or PhD degree in social sciences or life sciences and three years’ experience in EDI role
• A good understanding of EDI policies, legislation and best practices
• Demonstrated proactive approach to EDI issues and promote positive changes
• Experience researching, writing and delivering strategic documents
• An understanding of the Canadian granting agency EDI requirements/ considerations
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively with senior management, stakeholders, and researchers
• Experience working in academia, healthcare, industry with project management skills
• Up- to date knowledge in fields of Immunotherapy and/or Immunology research is a plus
